Training:

Abilities, LLC provides CPR, First Aid, Nonviolent-Crisis Prevention (CPI), Tools of Choice, and Level 1 Med Aid training to all employees.

CPI trains support staff on how to identify behaviors that could lead to a crisis, how to effectively respond to behaviors, how to assess risk levels, when it is appropriate to physically intervene, and a progression of holding skills that are designed to keep both the individual and staff safe.

Tools of Choice is a training that teaches employees how to create positive relationships, improve interactions and change behavior. The majority of employees leave this training motivated and driven to be the best they can be in their personal and professional lives. Tools of Choice is a 6 session class that breaks down behavior, coercion, empathy, encouragement, reinforcement, set expectations, and “HOT” situations. Tools focuses on encouraging all employees to be kind and caring in all situations.
